* Based on a light novel series by Yumizuru Izuru with illustrations by Okiura. At the IS Academy the students are training to become pilots for the Infinite Stratos (IS) weapon system. It so happens that this system can only be operated by females, with the exception of Orimura Ichika. He finds himself attending the busy academy overrun by girls, and as it turns out Shinonono Houki, a childhood friend, is one of his new classmates.
