This half-hour music video consists for the most part of clips from the TV series and the movie set to various Lynn Minmay songs. As far as the story goes, nine months have passed since the end of the TV series; in those nine months, the SDF-1 Macross has been repaired and is nearly fully restored. In the meantime, construction has finished on the new SDF-2 Megaroad-01. Serving as the captain is Hayase Misa, who has married Ichijou Hikaru. As the fleet prepares to launch, Minmay gives her last concert in Macross City. Hikaru tests the new VF-4 Lightning III variable fighter, and Minmay packs for her trip. After having one last look at the concert hall, she boards the Megaroad-01, which takes off from Earth and heads out into space to spread out the human race. The footage used in this music video was originally meant to be the ending for the movie, but it wasn't quite ready; the footage used here updates the old TV designs and makes them fit with what is seen later in Macross Plus.
