The Robot Girls Z trio, aka Team Z, is a unit assigned to promote the future energy source Photon Energy, as well as eliminate any enemies who seek to take Photon Energy for themselves. The team's members are Z-chan, Gre-chan, and Grenda-san. Usually, the team operates from the Nerima Ward Oizumi Academy's Photon Energy District, in Tokyo. [i]Note: The main characters are reimagined versions of well-known previous ones, in girl form: Z-chan of Mazinger Z; Gre-chan of Great Mazinger; and Grenda-san of UFO Robo Grendizer. The opening part of the first episode received an advance release on 18 October 2013 on Nico Nico and on 28 October 2013 on Toei's YouTube channel. Additionally, the first episode received an early screening at a special event on 23 December 2013 somewhere in Tokyo. The regular TV broadcast started on 4 January 2014.[/i]
