Onoda Aki is a boy that has trouble communicating. One day he discovers a magical hedgehog that he adopts as a pet and calls Fureru. The hedgehog's powers make it possible to share thoughts with two boys from his class, Sobue Ryou and Inohara Yuuta, when they accidentally touch. Being able to communicate freely like this, they become close friends. When they move to Takadanobaba in Shinjuku in their 20's, their relationship develops as the boys find their own way in work or college. Over time Aki learns to communicate better and rely less on Fureru's power. Things get complicated when they get involved with two women, Asakawa Nana and Kamozawa Juri, who have trouble with a stalker. Their friendship is put to the test when it turns out Fureru's power is not what it seems.
