The world is overrun with a mysterious condition known as "Randolph syndrome" which causes sudden comas. Simultaneously, a massive underground realm known as "Asylum" in the South Pole was discovered & found to be the syndrome's origin. Weird creatures, unlike any on the surface, dwell there with previously unknown natural resources.
