Yep, more than 95%. Some sources on asiandvd had custom-made subtitles, those are the exceptions. Too few to remember,

Do you remember what's the sources for the Maison Ikkoku series and movies? If I recall correctly Viz never released the movies because of Maison poor sales. Sorry If I ask too much questions aha

Last two questions,is it the same for the series? And do you sometime use DVD R1 subs when there's no english bluray ? And thank you for your encodes and you for answering. That's nice :)

You're welcome. Yep, same for series. I don't know what Tri did before, pretty sure he only ever used retail subs too (I joined in 2014). I don't know of any show we've done that didn't have retail or custom made subs (I haven't looked, we've done too much) but personally I wouldn't mind doing that for shows like Lupin - https://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=1484. If we ever pick it up, that is.

Can you encode these series when they come out
Keijo
Kiss him,not me
Twin star exorcists?

No JPN BD encodes are out for these

Keijo will be released on Bluray next month, and Kiss him,not me in march. We will do both those serie`s.
For Twin star exorcists there is no bluray release date yet, but when there is we will do that also.

DorianHD: Tri

Thanks a lot DorianHD, question.. I noticed you guys have done a lot of older anime... ever think about KOR? I see you did Ranma and Maison Ikkoku which are some of my favorites!

Can I put a small request?

Could you please encode Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works ( the 25 episode series)

Would appreciate that a lot…

(p.s. I hear JP-BD has better video source)

@mine1400 I already have it, but it doesn;t play in my 4k tv...

Surprisingly Dorian's 10-bit HEVC are being supported by it. Thats why I asked..

Redarrow : The list keeps piling up, lol. Our HEVC releases are 8 bit, not 10. Our preferred codec is 10bit x 264. You might want to try hooking up your laptop / pc to your 4kTV with a HDMI cable, that ought to fix the 10-bit playback problem with Kametsu's release (or anyone else, since I'm sure the vast majority of quality groups prefer x264 10 bit).
HikariGo : "The series began airing on July 4, 2016 on TV Tokyo, with an episode airing every weekday morning followed by a compilation episode at the end of each week, the series will contain one hundred and twenty episodes in total, along with twenty four compilation episodes on Oha Suta" - Wikipedia. Basically 5 mini episodes rolled into 1 longer episode.

Redarrow : https://s13.postimg.org/hlzg0fsif/USBD.png & https://s13.postimg.org/qtroh625j/JPBD.png. Personally? I'd take the one with the halo. That's with the minor scene changes when they're completely different products. When they're otherwise the same, the difference is virtually non-existent - https://s13.postimg.org/4j3th028n/Kametsu.png & https://s13.postimg.org/uenk08m2v/DHD_Trial.png (the difference at absurd levels of comparison in this case comes from x264 10 bit vs x265) .In general, the quality drop in the USBD is barely 5% and is absolutely not worth doubling everything. First there's the double-download of sources on asiandvd that I must get (JPBD for the video, USBD for the audio) - meaning my ratio dies twice as fast and I put out half as many shows as I would like to. Then there's the effort with getting stuff in sync in case of scenechanges. No encoding group has the time or the resources to get both sources on a consistent basis and still put out a decent amount of shows, which is why you have (able) remuxers grabbing fansub videos. The much-maligned USBD needs some love and I'm determined to give it some :P

haha...points taken.

Looks like I really need to connect my HDMI cable.

Anyways, loved your releases so far.

Your encodes have made wanna buy one more HDD...
