Seirei no Moribito, episodes 01-13 (halfway batch).

Here are some patches for anyone who previously downloaded episodes.

Video: jpsdr's encode.
Audio: QAAC encode. Stereo. JPN language only.
Subs: Retail, with a dollop of good lines/terms from A-Kraze. Retimed/typesetted.

Eh, I was hoping for a proper 720 downscale so I could take this off the list of future encoding projects, but this isn't it. It's not terrible, but it's certainly blurred compared to the 1080's.
For anyone with 20GB, I'd suggest my remux of MGRT's 1080p on BBT or AB. (I don't have the bandwidth to put it on nyaa since y'all don't seed)

You can recommend other releases, but people should know that if their primary concern is sub quality, this is the release to watch.

I used the best encode. Whose else would I recommend?
If you want to take it off BBT and slap your name on it, feel free.

Anime people are way too critical.

Explaining why the release is good is okay.

Also, this show is superb! Highly recommend it. Mix of peaceful scenery and action. Love it!

I can tell almost no difference between this and kuchirukia's release on my 23" 1920x1080 IPS monitor.

@cybernaut The BD being an upscale doesn’t mean any of the downscales were done as well as the best 1080. Nanoha is a DVD upscale, but even after a complete redo my 720 still isn’t quite as good as the best 1080. (which IIRC was FLsnow,)
Someone will probably eventually get around to doing this, but that time isn’t now. Until then there are two good encodes of this: MGRT and Chyrka (which CTR used).

I ran screenshot comparisons myself before choosing the encode. As you say, the 1080p encodes look better upon close examination, but I thought they were not better enough to justify the extra filesize. Certainly the native res is 720p as Anibin says. After doing both Kanon and Oregairu 2 in 1080p, I've vowed never again to release an anime above its native res.

@motbob thanks again for this one, definitely deserves the work put in. unnecessary halfway batching though, threw off my automatic downloader :P

Anyone wanting a 1080p copy, I will do a v2 of my set with these subs once MTBB finishes, so watch for that.
