Do I need to watch the older shows before watching this?

@QUICKSORT I would say you would be better to skip the Negima anime seasons because they adapted only harem stuff.Action part is 10 times better in the manga.Also to fully enjoy UQ holder you should had read Negima manga.But UQ holder will adapt till those chapters where Negima isn't referenced much.But after that part its all negima and that's the reason it is called Mahou Sensei Negima 2.So once this season finishes,Read Negima manga and then UQ holder manga.

for make simple as long you know mahou negima manga and most important how it's ending then read manga uq holder for awhile coz in anime they will cut or short the story in manga or for the worst the manipulate the story a little, well this just the beginning ep uq holder so in case for the more info what happen in ep 1 you should read manga first....anyways hope this anime will not be like mahou negima

let hope this is not another crappy adapted anime..............especially when think about what kind of curse negima anime version have.
