I'm not sure I should do that. I doubt people would keep the font files making it impossible to seed in the future.

People also won't necessarily keep the subs external or keep the same file names or keep extra files. You can't base these decisions on what people might do with the files. But if you rely on people reading this post and on the DDL link working, you are making it really hard for people to get the fonts now and in the future.
