Magai and M74 proudly present The Nine-Colored Deer, a short film from 1981 that was produced by the Shanghai Animation Film Studio. It was based on ancient cave paintings found within the Mogao Grottoes, which in turn were inspired by a traditional Buddhist story which you can read online here.
