Encode Details:
The source has a heavy layer of heavily starved grain along with compression noise in both luma and chroma, causing severe blocking and chromatic artifacts. I started with a descale, followed by a complete denoise, and then reapplied grain using a custom FGS made with FGSEditor. For this reason, I decided to do one HEVC encode by baking in the same FGS with vs-fgs, and an AV1 encode by keeping the grain as metadata, reducing the file size by over 50%.
