Hey all,

I believe 4 years after speaking with Windii about the subs for Irregular Hunter X, I finally took the time to complete this mux of her awesome subs for Astro Boy.
She has since, uploaded all of her sub files here: https://nyaa.si/view/1591837

This project consisted of me doing the following:

  • Fixed episode errors: EMTP-Raws made a mistake on episodes 3 and 4. They encoded Episode 4's opening segment at the end of episode 3.
  • Added chapters to all episodes.
  • Redone typeset with fonts attached, now with karaoke effects for all openings and endings.
  • Fixed some typos.

All the Astro Boy fans that didn't have a ready to watch set, this is now possible!
Hope you enjoy the show as much as I did rewatching it while working on this project.

I didn't opt for the 1080p because it was missing openings and endings, which I feel are important. That and while watching, the episodes were jittery on several scenes.
Also note, this project was started a long time ago, way before this web download was available. Just decided to blitz it to the end to give everyone a good run to enjoy in entirety.

Now that it is done, I can retake the subs and convert all of them / retime them for the 1080p release for those that prefer, so that's going to be a round 2 for the people that prefer! :)

@RyzakiT It's in my plans. I don't know when I'll get to it since I'm working on 2 other projects part-time with other commitments, but it'll be eventually done!

Will wait for it, upscale or not, it looks gorgeous compared to dvd. Definitely not worth 1080p, but 720p or 540p imo
Did dvd had NCOP/ED BTW?

@RyzakiT No upscale, I took the raw from EMTP, they did the encode, and imho, it looks better than the 1080p webrip because it's very clean, preserves the grain, and doesn't have jittering in some scenes like the webrip.

They encoded 2 episodes with the opening order wrong which I fixed, but I didn't touch anything from the release since I'm not experienced at encoding.

There are no rips of extras from the raw provider, nor did Windii sub them, so no release there. I can seek community interest in it and rip my own RAWs, but they'll likely be not very good. :/

@MD_Prometh: Thank you for flagging it. Just in case, I scanned through all episodes to make sure it's the only one with the mistake. Likely a search and replace error or something. I'll upload a V2 to correct it.
