The advanced subtitle features used around 4:15 and 18:26 are too much for some players. My normal one couldn't deal with them so I had to play those areas on a desktop to actually see what was there. I don't mind but something to consider so I thought it worth mentioning.

@vinsanitydbz I prefer to watch on a bigger TV so stuck with players there. In my case Kodi and changing it's internal player looked too complex.

@vinsanitydbz Appreciate the patches but I think the back end player Kodi uses must not be great (and my Pi4 isn't that old). Even with patch v2.3 it still can't render the "badump badump badump" part around 4:15. Just seeing red rectangles struggling to update on screen and the frame rate dropping to near zero for a couple seconds.

Other shows are able to add custom font text around the original Japanese text and it renders fine. So if I had to guess it's the attempt to mask out the original text that is causing the problem. Maybe that's the trick on these limited players?

@wordless I see the issue now...it's not about old or new Raspberry Pi4, it's not powerful enough cause I also have one Pi4 4GB and I saw it's not even getting proper FPS with sub off...tried in MPV with 3 different Linux OS...all are shuttering more or less and Ubuntu is less bad....maybe Pi5 is better capabale but still these low powered SBCs aren't recomended for playing complex stuffs....you can contact me on discord if wanna talk more about this, I'm available on mostly many servers including ToonsHub's server too.

Noticed something really small while looking around. I'm on v2.4 and it is still there. It's only visible for 7 frames so it is probably not a big deal but if you are interested in fixing it I thought I'd let you know.
