You should probably play the visual novel for this one first. The adaptation was far worse than original Steins;Gate. But thanks for this either way.
I don't think that's necessary, the vn is also all over the place. A lot of stuff is left out of the anime but it's more focused as a result
the VN has way more traumatized okabe kino so you should read it eventually regardless
