Description

Orphan is pleased to present the first English-subtitled version of the 1989-90 two-episode OVA Koiko no Mainichi (Koiko's Days). Based on a 32-volume manga by George Akiyama (not translated), It tells the story of Keiko, newly married to yakuza soldier Sabu. Their married life is very happy:

but the threat of disruptions from Sabu's yakuza work is everpresent:

Despite the plot armor, the show is basically a slice-of-life romantic comedy, with occasional interruptions of violence. There's a little nudity too; it's an 80s OVA, after all. Episode 1 is a Domesday Duplicator laserdisc rip. Episode 2 was only released on VHS tape. See this blog entry for more details.
