WTF why did they rush the last episode so much? If they were strapped for time they should have skipped that stupid onsen episode.
They even changed stuff at the end, Beta is supposed to be transported to the other world with Shadow and they also inserted a completely new scene with Nishino being kidnapped again.
I don't get it, they did so well with the first season but this second one felt rushed.
Hopefully the movie does things properly.

Thank you. I haven't read the base material so I can't comment much on that but the show did come full circle in the end. Maybe he just brought magic back to his earth dimension.... What a great show. 10/10 for animation, fairly original story arc for an isekai, with a good mix of serious and lightheartedness. Even the cringe parts added to the main character.
