So for whatever the reason, you switched to encoding with x265 and went from standing out to just another follower of a isolistic codec that strips viewer freedom to chose when and where they watch Anime for a picture quality easily obtainable by h264 by simply increasing frame rate. For a while it seemed like.... never mind. Maybe its an experiment of sorts. hevc/x265 saves space denoising by default which degrades quality. And Instead of encoding with the correct codec(h264). hevc is used incorrectly which is why most x265 files are at least 1/3 bigger than h264 files from the same source. and quality is roughly the same. Even so, once in a while there's a need to change frame rate 23.976 to 30 fps to ensure no differences can be seen.

The most important fact to be aware of is, an episode of Anime that has just been completedby it's studio, is only 6 to 12 fps. It gets encode to media world standards 23.976fps. then aired. It wasn't an accident x265 found its way into the sharing community. funimation did it at the end of 2010 during the fall season, in an attempt to control offline sharing. They basically succeeded and at a cost of almost zero. Other than than the initial files that were shared. Fans have do all the work for them. The only real reason to use HEVC is when there's HDR concerns with 4K sources. this can all be found through research.
