Mushoku Tensei S2, episode 7

There is an alternate honorifics track in this release. Set your media player to play "enm" language tracks by default to automatically play honorifics tracks.

The next episode title at 23:35 probably contains a typo in the original Japanese, and the translation of "The Fiance of Despair" reflects that typo. The correct title is probably more like "The Impervious Fiance" (which was the official LN's translation of 絶壁の婚約者 (as opposed to 絶望)). We will see whether the title ends up being different next week.

I mean, apprentice and junior disciple are the same thing making the translation quite odd... It sounded more like "Imouto deshita", as in "was like a little sister" for that line. Rudy calls her his deshi/apprentice before that and for Zanoba, it (deshita) sounds a whole lot different than if it would have been for "deshi da".
CR translators have been screwing up with silly typos and other shit in every other anime, so I'll just assume this was another case of it.

Yeah, no. Similar sentence structure in the manga except Rudy not talking about himself there. That just confirms even the JP subs fucked up and got auto-TLed to that.

This is a first. I have never seen someone post a translation of an entirely different version of the story in order to try to win an argument about how to transcribe some phrase of Japanese. I've also never seen anyone post some random translation in order to argue that the OFFICIAL JAPANESE SUBTITLES were wrong.

Even the Japanese subs had "Imouto" in it, which somehow gets ignored completely. How does one even defend a sentence that is basically saying "Julie isn't a slave, though. She's my apprentice, and Zanoba's apprentice." or "Julie isn't a slave, though. She's my junior disciple, and Zanoba's junior disciple." Literal translation of the Japanese subs btw.

I do not know what you are on about with the "entirely different version of the story" when this episode adapted upwards of chapter 59 from the manga. A few lines changing in the anime here and there has not deviated it from the original story.

I don't have an opinion on CR's translation since I don't speak Japanese. I leave those sorts of judgments for people who know more than me.

The manga is considered the worst adaptation as it skips the entire volume 7 (a second manga adaptation had to be made for only volume 7) and changes many details of the story. Speaking from someone who has also read the manga thinking it was good, it is better if you read the LN and use it if you want to make comparisons.
