Encoder's Notes: I only did the movies and 3 of the extras. The MV has nasty blending issues from the source, I had issues trying to fix. I kinda gave up on that front, cleaned up the best I could though. The movies would over-encode without a de-grain pass, but that and dropping the CRF fixed it. Aside from that minimal filters were used.

So which is this, Hi10 (h264) or h265 (HEVC)?

Hi10 means 10-bit
No, Hi10 is 10 bit AVC
Main 10 is 10 bit HEVC
"Hi10" would be recognized as the same as "Hi10P" -- shorthand for 10-bit H.264.
"Main" is a profile designation, so I think bringing that into this only muddies things. Example: Shinsen's HD release of Ergo Proxy (back when it aired) was Main profile H.264. But High Profile has been the standard for some time, and is the video format you get from streaming services.
Hi10P (High 10 Profile) is a profile designation, too. HEVC's 10 bit profile is called Main 10.

These meme filtered encodes look worse than super nintendo games running through ZSNES with that "eagle engine" filter in 1998. You can't remove grain without collateral damage - in the case of anime that means you're literally removing part of the linework as well.
