The same files as in the old release: .mkv video 01-13.
As of the end of 2022, there is no good English translation of the ED16, ED17; empty fields are left in the script.
I'm posting the release a little earlier than planned ~
(I tried to search for external subtitles in other languages before the release, but nothing worked.
Releases in Spanish and Vietnamese, unfortunately, exist only in the form of incomplete videos posted on YT, with hardsubs.
A very good French release with excellent French voice acting is made by the Touhoppai group,
however, they obviously don't want to upload it as a torrent for some reason; It is available for online viewing on two different sites).
Thanks!
there's a big chunk of dialogue missing on chapter 3, at around 5:30
i know youre not exactly the translator, but is this normal? if it is i think im better putting it off until a more complete release is out
@Inokori
I just checked the time and realized what you are writing about: a few lines are missing in the English translation at 05:35-05:50.
The explanation here is simple: these lines were not in the original subtitles on the DVD, but they were in the Japanese voiceover ("table chatter in the background" was voiced without subtitles).
Accordingly, they were not in the original English script.
And to translate all this by ear... Well, to be honest, in this particular situation (for this scene) - I don't see the point. Of course, you can say that ''if you do something, you need to do it well'' (in this case - translate completely). But in practice, this is not always necessary (since, specifically here, if the voices had been made a little more unintelligible, nothing strange would have been noticeable at all)
@qxakanight
yeah, i noticed with my very limited japanese that its probably nothing important and more of a background chatter, so it doesnt probably matter in this case
but does it happen in more important moments? it would be pretty bad to be up to episode 10 and having 2 main characters chatting and missing a big chunk of dialogue, i guess someone probably would have complained already if that were the case, but i wanna be sure before going deeper
thanks for the clarification!
@Inokori
The original English translation was made from Japanese subtitles embedded in the DVD; in addition to the text, there are various interjections, cries of emotional reactions in the form of ''!!'' or ''?!'' and all the like...
I don't think anything really important was missed there... although in some ways you are right: in the 2nd episode at 14:06 in the Japanese subtitles of the original disc, the name of the reception (水符「プリンセスウンディネ」/ Water Sign "Princess Undine") was missing. But, it was no voiced by Pika Aizawa in the fan Japanese voice acting =)
With the exception of the 2nd and 3rd series, I don't remember anything else like that.
Best regards, ~
