Edit: I lied, turns out episode 8 was dubtitles. Get v2 here instead. I blame nandesuka (or netflix?) for changing the track order for that single episode

Touched up Netflix (NanDesuKa)

  • Timed (TPP)
  • dialogue styled to Gandhi Sans
  • added OP/ED (slightly modified Anime Chap)
  • subtitles not dubtitles
  • no other changes
  • minimal QC, since it's not an important part of the fansubbing process

Edit from the future: so I finally got around to watching this and the subs are actually pretty decent, dunno what everyone is complaining about. The editing seems to be done fairly well, albeit with perhaps a little too much liberty at times, but I don’t hate it. If anybody happens to do a revision in the future, it might be worth subtitling the ‘texting’ communication bits because it’s kinda tough to read with it moving around the screen so much.

you're not wrong, but also this is a pretty minimal effort release. I do watch my actual releases

I saw a comment on Anime chaps torrent where they said netflix redid the subs. Are these the new subs?

Yeah what Asher said. Just took a look at NanDesuKa's v2, looks like they only updated the dubtitles.

Subtitles are still identical
