They were taken from the DVDs with maximum quality setting. The smaller file version is in the description. Or you could download these and use HandBrake to reduce filesize/quality/grain to your desired levels.

Hi there! I really appreciate that you uploaded this dvd release of part 2, being that it is the only part 2 release with good subs.

However, I am very confused with the file size. I know that you will say that I can re-encode it and I will, but I really am perplexed why you did not just keep the original MPEG2 video. Instead, you used a more efficient codec but encoded it so that the episodes are 3x the size they originally were! (I have 3/4 of the dvds so i would know) I would be fine if they were the same size, but this is ridiculous.

Still, I do want to thank you for uploading it anyways.

Just... in the future if you're ever going to do a dvd release again, just keep the original MPEG2 video, or actually encode it so that the file size is lower (as MPEG2 is not a very efficient codec, so this is sometimes possible to achieve transparent results with a lower file size) I've heard that the AV1 codec can achieve pretty good dvd re-encodes with synthetic grain.
Also it would be cool if you did another release with the actual MPEG2 video but I understand if you won't.

Or download the 33GB version, resize it instead. While your at it, encode it all back to AVC8bit then watch the episodes on any kind media player instead of being severely restricted. The fact that funimation was responsible for those new codecs (h10/hevc)[AV1=youtube] showing up in Anime should be enough to realise they didn't do it because they wanted the sharing community to have a way to get a better picture and that it would be so good your willing to sacrifice versatility. When simply increasing the frame rate of AVC8bit will attain the same result without sacrificing anything or spending 4 times as long to encode each file.

Do you just not know what a remux is? The DVDs are 169 GB and this is triple that. Not a remux, also a terrible encode.
