[Project Z Scans, Cornpone Flicks] Mazinger Z vs. Devilman (Gag Sub)

NOTE: THESE ARE NOT REAL SUBTITLES FOR GRENDIZER VS. GREAT MAZINGER. THESE ARE GAG SUBS, MEANT TO BE SILLY AND PROVIDE A GOOD LAUGH.

With the success of the Grendizer vs. Great Mazinger gag subs, I decided to remaster Corn Pone Flick's other parody subtitles, their 1998 release of Mazinger Z vs. Devilman. Like Grendizer vs. Great Mazinger, this was originally a transfer of the LaserDisc version to VHS, and distributed alongside gems like the Bad American Dubbing (which I would like to remaster if I ever had Premiere and the names and episodes of the shows in it) and Star Dipwads, one of the earliest gag dubs to make it big in the primitive English-speaking anime scene. Dave Merrill (the author of the subtitles, who now runs the excellent Let's Anime blog) contacted me on Twitter about his approval for these remasters, and gave me suggestions for new lines, both for scenes cut due to him not being able to think of anything funny in 1998, as well as three replacement jokes for lines that would be seen as trans/homophobic by today's standards. Also included are gag subtitled trailers for both Mazinger Z vs. Devilman, and the two trailers for Grendizer vs. Great Mazinger and Grendizer, Great Mazinger, Getter Robo G: Clash! Giant Sea Monster that weren't in the Grendizer vs. Great Mazinger remaster.

I hope you enjoy this!
