Thanks, didn't expect this to get a US BD release after the JP BDs were cancelled. Wonder if Phantom in the Twilight or Blue Reflection Ray would end up getting them someday too.

Funi significantly increased their bitrate for their releases at least a year now. My annoyance is the different target rate for disc 1 and disc 2 in each set. It seems to be based on a dumb blind process, just based on a fixed amount of uneven episodes for disc 1 and disc 2 then divided by total size, probably to quickly automate the final authoring, .They won't evenly spread it out across both disc so that all eps get the same bitrate

Interesting. I mean ideally, CBR type encodes are retarded, as anything that would have proper filtering could get away with much smaller VBR file sizes. But I'm sure no one has time to spend fansubber amounts of time on encodes. Then again, most fansub encodes are trying to fix the issues caused by said "rushing".
