Description

Remux of 2021 4:3 Full Frame version BD.

Video:

  1. 2021 US/UK BD (1920x1080, 23.976fps)

Framerate changed from 24 to 23.976 in tsMuxer to accommodate the audio tracks from 23.976p and 29.97i sources listed below.

Audio:

  1. English 2.0 FLAC (2021 US/UK UHD) (Default)
  2. English 5.1 DTS-HD MA (2021 US/UK UHD)
  3. Japanese 2.0 Mono AC3 (2001 JP DVD)
  4. 2006 US DVD staff commentary AC3 (2021 US/UK UHD)
  5. 2007 UK DVD commentary AC3 (2009 AU BD)

Tracks 1, 2, 4 and 5 were sourced from FraMeSToR remux. Japanese track was taken from DVD ISO backup by Karyuudo Fansubs and synced to BD without transcoding (fuck the AC3 32ms frame duration).

By the way, the chapter markers are placed at start of each reel (5 reels in total). Some may not like that, but idgaf.

Can you rip the 4:3 aspect ratio version. I don't like the crop on the 16:9 aspect ratio, it is missing a lot of the original image. Been looking for that version forever! Thanks

This is the 4:3 Full Frame version of the 2021 restoration (note: the 16:9 widescreen version of the 2021 restoration was only released on 4K UHD and DVD)

Would be nice to have US Mono, same with UK Mono (idek if the us mono ver has ever been released).

Awesome release! I hope someone rips the Japanese LaserDisc to get the uncompressed audio at some point
