DAN DAN 心魅かれてく (DAN DAN Kokoro Hikarete'ku)

ZeBenko: A big personal project of mine that was made possible with the help of Dragon Ball Dubs.
This is a remux of every known language variation and version of DAN DAN Kokoro Hikarete'ku, with subtitles for each respective language and accompanied native English translations (alongside a few Spanish options, too).

Notes:

  1. All of the "Remastered" tracks are based on the v2 SoM Dragon Box release. They were all edited together by me.
  2. Some of the "Remastered" tracks take footage from creditless endings, which exist on FUNimation's Green Bricks (and are what is used), but are in a different resolution compared to the Dragon Box. Since the "Remastered" tracks use Dragon Box footage as the majority, small sections that use endings 2, 3 & 4 are downscaled to the Dragon Box resolution.

Notes:

  1. Audio for the Blue Water opening is sourced from a Stereo Hifi YTV Canada broadcast, recorded by lolman.
  2. The European Portuguese dub was released on VHS and each VHS brought about different variations of the opening. I just included the one used for broadcasts as well as the two drastically different variations from the VHS', labeled as cassettes 15 & 17.
  3. There are no compositional differences between the YouTube and VHS versions of the Daewon opening. So why is there two? It's because the better sounding YouTube version was missing certain sections that are in the lower quality VHS, so compromises had to be made to mix them together. At which point, I just decided to leave in both.

Subtitles

There's an "Extras" folder that has a spreadsheet for all 43 different subtitles. I'm not doing that all again just for Nyaa.

Other

  1. In the "Remuxes" folder, there's another folder containing self-standing, separate "Full-Size" remuxes for songs that do have full length versions.
  2. Anything that was on YouTube was extracted using Stacher, insuring quality.
  3. In the "Extras" folder, there's also PDF's for every song, including the Transcripts and Translations, alongside extra info including the translators name, the name of the song and singer, etc...
  4. Also in the "Extras" folder is another folder named "Videos — Music." The whole point of this folder was to be as inclusive as possible so that nobody complains that I've "forgotten" something by not including it here. Yes, I'm aware that the Italian opening exists, but that wasn't the point of this project. "Oh well, whatever, here, take it and shut up" was the mindset behind the folders creation.
  5. Everything is grammar checked to the best of my ability. Mistakes are evident, and so is a v2, so anything that might be wrong or any arising issues, please hit me up about on our Discord.
  6. All of the subtitles were made with the default settings of MPV and VLC in mind, so if they're formatted weird in certain parts on another media player, try using either one of the previously mentioned instead.
