My goal is to enable better low-sized anime releases, by using the most efficient tools available right now, tweaked to still be plenty fast.
Better viewed on mobile devices or any screen under 16 inch. Over that, maybe you should get a higher quality 1080p release, like this one

1080p version tomorrow

Pas de VOSTFR car ma source collait pas, il manquait des scènes et les fautes d'orthographe étaient nombreuses. Peut être pour une autre fois...

If you check my releases, you can see I already have a VVC encode up.
However it's painfully slow (way slower than even AV1), don't give convincing results, and no media player can decode it right now.
But I'll definitely release VVC stuff if it becomes viable in the future !

I wouldn't even bother honestly.

Decoding performance, even with the latest decoders, is very poor compared to dav1d, and encoding performance is about the same. As for visual stuff, currently available encoders aren't really any better or any worse than current AV1 encoders, so on that front, I don't think using valuable encoding time on such a standard is really all that useful.
