Episode 2 has problems when playing with older players, like vlc 3.0.16 (i use that one cuz there is a problem with subs on newer versions).
I'm sorry but you're using a version of VLC which includes version 0.9.0 or older of dav1d, if you're using your CPU to decode it's not weird that decoding speed or issues come up, as dav1d 1.0 was the major release. I appreciate the comment but it's not like I can do much about it.
Also version 1.2.1 fixes a luma/chroma desync issue that was reported by Trix, which means that up until that version you might come across this bug.

P.S.: i do my own av1 encodes with handbrake and i don't run into any issue, so it can be avoided by using other encoder/programs and playing av1 files on this version of vlc is entirely possible this way :)
