@pog42 It's more like this:

The first two are like FLAC-16 and FLAC-32. The third one is like lossy audio. Don't be a square.

@DeathStroke Trumped by the scrumptious rump of FLAC. A harmonic symphony twerking in my ears.

@ayylmoa That show is popular. Someone will probably do that eventually.

why would this trump anything, the vodes release is tvbr q127 and we already know that none of you can even hear the difference between different opus bitrates

@Tsukudakobashi Just like William Stryker in X-Men hated mutants, those with inferior hearing discriminate against those with superior hearing.

Keep wearing your tinfoil hats alt-lossy and making up conspiracy theories to discredit FLAC as bloat. We all see through your jealousy and lies. Anti-FLAC propagandists.

The "F" in FLAC stands for FREE! If you're against FLAC, you're anti-freedom.

Here's an example of a lossy soul:

IT'S A CONSPIRACY! FLAC IS REALLY PLACEBO.

Another useless release with no OPUS for pointless bloat. Color me shocked. I wish for a sitewide ban of FLAC releases.

I’ll paraphrase what I posted in another deleted torrent’s comment section.

@Interruptor Just like Opus is an inferior audio format compared to FLAC. You’re an inferior gimmick poster compared to DeathStroke. You ripped off his HEVC gimmick. You only swapped HEVC for Opus.

alt_text

@Interruptor You’re like The Renegade. @DeathStroke is like The Ultimate Warrior. One gimmick that rips off the other. Interruptor, your ultimate goal is to be the Deadpool of Nyaa since we already have our Deathstroke. You shall fail like Opus.

Literally all of you at seadex failed the listening test I provided :b

could you please send the link to test it

Edit:
fmedia music.wav -o music.flac --flac-compression=6 --print-time --notui
fmedia music.wav -o music.ogg --vorbis.quality=7.0 --print-time --notui
fmedia music.wav -o music.opus --opus.bitrate=192 --print-time --notui
fmedia music.wav -o music.mp3 --mpeg-quality=2 --print-time --notui
fmedia music.wav -o music.m4a --aac-quality=224 --print-time --notui

are these commands the way to tell if there would be any difference

you could use this link to tell if there would be any difference. For Archiving purposes it is best to keep it Lossless instead of Lossy even if it takes plenty of space.

@Interruptor ꉂ (´∀`)ʱªʱªʱª How transparent. That's like Vanilla Ice with "Ice Ice Baby" pretending not to know about Queen and "Under Pressure". You know him. I know it. You know it. We all know it.

You ripped off his gimmick. ꉂ (´∀`)ʱªʱªʱª You should change your username from Interruptor to Unoriginal.

Seadex-chan, take your seats. Have a pencil and eraser ready. According to Tsukudakobashi-sensei, you did not study hard enough. You failed his test. Make sure to study harder next time.

A way to explain FLAC and Opus is with a PC Example, if someone has 2 PCs ( First PC has 1 Gigabit/sec Ethernet while the Second has 10 Gigabit/sec Ethernet) and they are connected to a Cat 6a cable, the transfer speed between each wont extend 125 MB/sec due to limitations of First PC. If 10 Gigabit/sec is installed on those 2 PCs in the future, it will support 1250MB/sec instead of 125MB/sec. It might be dumb to think that way, this is how I see it anyway.

@friendevil22 Indeed, that is truly a masterful analogy because hearing the difference now isn’t the reason to encode to FLAC. FLAC uses lossless compression, while Opus is ‘lossy’. What this means is that for each year the Opus sits on your PC, it will lose roughly 0.2 Gigabit/sec, assuming you have cat5e - it’s about 1 Gigabit/sec on cat6, but only .5 Gigabit/sec on cat6a, due to rotational velocidensity. You don’t want to know how much worse it is on fiber or other optical media.

I started collecting releases with Opus audio 15 seconds ago, and if I try to play any of the episodes I downloaded back then, even the stuff I grabbed at 256kbps, they just sound like crap. The bass is terrible, the midrange…well don’t get me started. Some of those releases have degraded down to 32 or even ceased existing. FLAC rips from the same period still sound great, even if they weren’t stored correctly, in a cool, dry place. Seriously, stick to FLAC, you may not be able to hear the difference now, but in a year or two, you’ll be glad you did. It might also be worth noting that Opus introduces artifacts into the audio. Only the industry knows what they’re doing and even then I doubt it. I once did Opus and got into a lot of trouble because they were considered mini encodes. I trust what Kulot99 from Nyaa has to say on Opus.

@pog42 You're joining Interruptor in the Unoriginal Lossy Soul Brigade with that tired old joke. You even copied a copycat (Interruptor). Substituting a format for Opus in your geriatric copypasta. Boooooooring. ꉂ (´∀`)ʱªʱªʱª

@Kulot99 I can hardly measure up to your authentic comebacks carefully crafted by editing each comment four times, but do allow me to send one illustrative diagram too, explaining the flac debate -

@pog42 Who is lamer? The one who edits or the one who counts the edits? Stalker alert! Like OMGOSH!

@shivansh It's easy to look based in the company of @pog42 and @Interruptor.

Edit: @pig42 True gentlemen know how to edit and filter themselves. We're not mere swine.

Just finished a job only to see this

one word came to mind, "Harder!". Stopped reading after masterful analogy. The Fact That I think this topic is funny or interesting is killing me.

@friendevil22 Masterful analogy? Maybe Masturful? Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge. Choking the chicken because FLAC is orgasmic. Opus is like phimosis.

one word came to mind, “Harder!”

Don't hurt yourself.

PS: Make sure he's not watching.

@pog42

You had us in the first half

The only reason I use FLACebo on some of my kmplx releases is more for the longevity of the release itself. We all know there's like 0 difference with flacebo in anime. tho we could also argue about the video encode for that matter

@Simplistic Bro! Don't become Pimpistic for Opus. Flacebros for life!

Would you rather have lossless hair? Or lossy hair? By law of attraction, if you choose lossy, expect your hair to be gone soon, if it is not already!

alt_text

PS: I hope I don't get slapped. Please donate to alopecia victims.

@Simplistic No offense meant. Just being silly. But seriously, then by law of attraction you may get lossy teeth instead. Either way, you'll always be a flacebro to me. Sniff, sniff.

alt_text

Thanks for this. I've been sitting on Afro for some time now and haven't gotten around to watching it due to work. Danke!

@Simplistic lol They're definitely renowned for that.

@Campyfire lol You are truly a gem. Just don't play with the sword of a stranger.

@pip3 That's one of the nicest compliments I've received on this site. Tears to my eyes. Thank you, sincerely. <3

PS: No offense intended if you do have a butt like the third picture. ;0_o

@andysmith89 Appreciate the kind words. Enjoy.

Why are people crying so much about a lossless alternative? Just get Vodes if you want the lossy audio. People use 30$ headsets and then cry about not being able to hear the difference wtf.

This has to be the most obviously schizophrenic series of comments by Kulot1999 on a single page. Yet to be topped!

@Simiplistic Identical. It’s like I’m standing behind @pip3.

@Gnome Actually, I’m an amateur in that regard. There is one who bests all in the realm of schizo here on Nyaa. Perhaps the most enigmatic poster on this site.

I’ll give you a riddle, my silly little gnomie.

He doesn’t play with “Sensei,” instead with “Sansei.” He adjusts the degrees of maturity to that of adolescence. Which user could this be?
