it's been 2 years since storytime release owari s2 volume 1. it's been 1 year 10 months since commie released koyomi volume 1. i will be disregarding any nyaa comments from storytime or commie group members until they make more releases for these projects.
ty motbob and unbased.
Commie's TL for Owari 2nd: Error 404
torn
Bob psycho
It's not herkz's fault if their TL is either seriously ill or a retarded sloth. I still appreciate MTBB for letting me finally watch Owari s2 with subs that aren't completely SHIT.
edit: storytime effectively dropped this btw.
Thanks!
Aniplex's subs for this series have often been very good, except that they never translate jokes so none of them are ever funny. Even the legendarily terrible Tsukimonogatari broadcast subs were fixed up for the official BD release, and they had plenty of lines that were better than Commie at that point (in terms of accuracy and/or clarity). I have no qualms about recommending Aniplex to viewers who don't like to see jokes being translated.
I haven't really evaluated the original Aniplex subs' quality for Owari S2, but they've been edited so many times by so many people that it's kind of irrelevant what the original source was at this point. I watched the first few minutes of Owari S2 with Aniplex subs when it aired, and was so confused by it that I just deleted the files and decided to wait for Commie, but it turned out that my confusion was caused by a combination of my unfamiliarity with the series and an adaptation error by SHAFT.
Wait, what? Clarify.
Just an orphaned line. Something that made sense in the novel but didn't make sense in the anime because Shaft cut out the dialogue that made it make sense.
