Release Description

Here's your Christmas present, a release of Deca-Dence with "good" subs. It's possible I've missed some typos, though.

Subtitle Information

I started with the Astral v0 subs as the base.

  • Translation: Funimation
  • Edits: Astral > mostly just line-breaks, em-dashes, etc...
  • Dialogue Styling: Astral
  • Typesetting & memes: Astral, smplstc > AliansiGaje base with heavy edits and additions from Astral to 99% of the typesetting. smplstc: Any memes you see were most likely added by me, so don't blame him.
  • Timing: Funimation, Astral, smplstc > Astral: ran eX's timing script; fixed some scene-bleeds. smplstc: I retimed basically every line, fixing most of the remaining long lead-ins, lead-outs, and scene-bleeds.
  • OP & ED Lyrics & Styling: Astral
  • Final QC: smplstc

Changelog:

  • Removed Romaji from partial EDs to help with screen clutter
  • Removed "Astral Presents" meme sorry, Astral :(

Not all signs were typeset due to a combination of difficulty and/or laziness. You can change to the Funimation track if you're curious what blank signs might say.

Oh yeah, he did make an encode, didn't he. Well, I added some screenshots to the comparison, It looks basically the same (to me), except maybe some worse aliasing and the cleaner dark scenes due to denoising. I'm sure someone can make a mux if they deem it to look way better (the subs aren't going to work natively, though).
