[avg] Ayakashi - Samurai Horror Tales [BD 1080p x265 FLAC] [Dual Audio]
Saved on 2022-02-24 15:51:03. This copy includes the description and comments available at capture.
Description
Video, chapters: jeebs (Discotek USBD encode)
Audio: ANThELIa BDRemux
Subtitles: Dekinai (episodes 1-8, slightly modified), Anon/gg/Dekinai (episodes 9-11)
I did some minor editing in every episode, resampled the subs, retimed all signs, and combined Anon's script with Dekinai's OP/ED kfx and gg's typesetting in episodes 9-11.
There are some hardsubbed signs in episodes 9 and 11 (blame Discotek).
I included the PGS signs/songs track as well to accompany the English audio.
Nearly everything about this release is average, hence the [avg] tag.
The encode isn't too good but it was the only USBD encode available so I worked with what I had.
Also, the subtitles could be improved since the kfx look like ass, the timing is pretty bad and there are plenty of scene-bleeds. If anyone is willing to work on them, feel free to do so.
I'm looking for a typesetter to help me fix some signs in my upcoming release - Houkago Saikoro Club. There are only 9 broken signs due to resampling, so if you're interested contact me on Discord.

wtf
@herkz I know, I was shocked as well, but here's what they look like on the BDRemux: https://i.imgur.com/otiL9tH.png
I very much doubt Discotek would actually hardsub the video given that they're actually pretty proficient at doing proper typesetting on retail discs.
I'd assume it's more a case of the materials they were given to work with being that way.
judging by that image, they clearly added it digitally themselves. it doesn't blend in with the original at all.
Anon's or HACK-JOB's Bakeneko release doesn't contain these hardsubbed signs so I could've used those encodes instead, but I was going for consistency with Discotek's release. You can grab another release for the last three episodes as I probably won't be making a v2.
@herkz I'm not doubting that it was added digitally, but there's always a chance that's how the materials were that the Japanese licensor provided.
