That's Funi. Probably license things. If you check the Abema raw for episode 1, it has japanese songs for the OP and ED

Yeah I know, the judder in the panning shots is also insane compared to the Abema video. Funimation is clearly getting a much inferior copy from our chinese overlords.

It's probably as simple as reusing the chinese video they already have and simply adding new audio and subtitle tracks to it
