well i mostly used kaylith's script except some lines i thought i did better so yes it's probably superior

it'll get a new encode since i changed the filtering a bit. script changes are possible since it does have a decent amount of repeated lines from the series.

i've never seen LNS's release but the main point of this release is to fix all the inconsistent stuff since we switched editors twice in the middle of the show. technically there's nothing stopping them from having done so, but it'd be pretty hard to know what to change if you weren't someone who originally worked on the subs, and BD groups are mostly lazy and don't put in that much effort anyway.

If only you put a bit more effort into the encodes. Its not like you cant do it or don't have the knowledge to make good encodes but for reasons beyond me you don't do it.

The subs are good but it'll only take some random remuxer to slap it on better video and make a definitive release. And for some reason it feels irksome to me that groups put so much effort into the subs only to be overridden by some random remuxer.

well there wouldn't be good subs for them to remux if i didn't put in so much effort. also encoding is kind of a meme for most anime. it's not like they all need scenefiltered or my lazy-ish encodes are noticeably bad. i'm not just gonna double the time i spend on every BD release since there's so many i want to work on that don't have good subs, sometimes even after 5+ years.

Some BD groups ironically don't even have good encodes.

I can definitely say the LNS release was not better than this since I handled a lot of the consistency fixes and that involved me watching the show once and trying to pay attention enough to notice when my notepad terms were not lining up.
