any idea how mawen's encode fares against yousei?
also which of the subs are better - Coalgirls (used R1 for this) or Elysium (which uses taka and umee)

Based on a quick look/some release shopping:
Taka's subs seem to be their own translation. Umee and CG have basically the same script, but umee has slightly better TS.
Yousei's video is 8bit and either unfiltered or just debanded. Mawen1250's appears to have some additional AA applied. I doubt I'd see much difference between them in motion, since neither has especially bad aliasing or banding.
