kinda started doing this one on a whim last night. according to the smokes index, the TOJIO encode has the best video quality. but the problem with that one was that it only had russian subs, so I took out the russian subs and audio and added the Cleo subs. had to do some resyncing and I made a few grammatical changes to a few episodes.
also before anyone asks why I used a DVD source and not a BD: the BD is some of the worst looking warpsharped garbage i've ever seen and it is absolutely disgusting. it is beyond me how that shit got released commercially. if you watch that and think it's acceptable quality you are insane.

who doesn't love a good QTEC BD release?
Ah yes... the Chobits BD. QTEC is bad by default, but it's amazing that someone can do a BAD QTEC.
You guys are missing the point, it's CHOBITS... Lets all take a moment and finger our computers to turn them on in recognition, shall we? :P
My computer is almost always turned on. It's a real problem.
QTEC was a mistake
@cosmic can u consider using subs from kuchikirukia's release...they are a lot better than Cleo's one from my opinion. Below is one comparison for example.

TOJIO release does also have English subs. And the subs are the same as in kuchikirukia’s release.

since this is dvd, it obviously looks more blurry compared to the other 2
kuchikirukia's looks vibrant and has grain and imo is the best

looks hella blurry and i definitely would not watch this either
so in conclusion: kuchikirukia = best if you don't mind the styling
Kuchikirukia worst because he uses a meme incompatible codec. Lol can't believe QTEC gets paid for making garbage. A simple resize filter is way better.
its not the codec but he does something dumb to the mkvs to save few bytes of space and it only works on the player that he uses. cross platform compatible players like mpv cant play them properly
