English Audio (5.1 AAC): Kametsu

i took the THORA release and added the OP and ED to each episodes sub track and then made a separate signs and songs track from that (which i think is just the songs really because i removed the episode title signs, since this source has them in english)
made no changes to the kametsu subs or audio.

Dekinai has umai edit subs which I believe to be the best. Would you be willing to add those to this release as well?

What is Yurasyk's source? JPBD? The opening and credits are NC. Did you compare with UQW? Their encode looks a little better to me.

it's USBD. the UQW release is too heavy on grain reduction imo, you can even see it in their comparisons to the source.

Appreciate the info crowquill. Normally, I prefer more grain. In this case, I prefer UQW's cleaner image, as there isn't much detail loss, with a lower file size. I guess it's a matter of taste. This is a good alternative anyhow. Thanks.

are the op and eds in the encode?
how does this compare to philosophy raws?

@tonikaku, the OPs and EDs are in the encode. They are NC versions. This release is USBD. philosophy-raws and UQW are JPBD.

philosophy has the smallest file size with dual audio. UQW lacks the dub and is slightly bigger than philosophy. I haven't checked thoroughly but I can't really perceive a noticeable difference between UQW and philosophy. These encodes are cleaner with less grain and small detail loss.

This encode is roughly 20GB larger than the other two, with a little more grain and detail.

That's the only identical screenshot I have left of all 3 encodes. All are of good quality. If you use philosophy's encode, I'd recommend pairing it with Kametsu's subtitles (better than PGS).

philosophy raws eng dub is also flac. i was going to use that but couldn't connect to any seeders and gave up lol.

Hmm, I'm trying to download the patch file from Mega, and all I get is an empty file and an empty "vcdiff" folder. Tried this on both Chrome and Firefox.

Can anyone re-upload the correct patch? Thank you
