@D44 White PGS just for you. They are not perfect, but if you sit over 1 meter away from the monitor you won't notice it. Screenshot It doesn't always look like that, only sometimes.

What's the deal with the video constantly shifting around (most obvious in static scenes). Is it just this encode or the Blu-ray in general?

Why not just retime the subtitles from the SNS release to the blu-ray? They could use some restyling to an easier to read white font with black borders. But aside from that it would be better than this. I checked the first episode and sadly a simple shift will not work as the timing changes by the end of the episode. Running it through sushi https://github.com/tp7/Sushi should yield a base you can work off though. I'm seeding the SNS release now as it had no seeds, so if you want to take a crack at it you can.

This BD encode is better for sure, but still an upscale.
