Looks like Funimation doesn't care about dubs: they have intentionally decreased both the audio and video quality on today's dubbed episodes of Slime S2 and Wonder Egg Priority. Hopefully this is a temporary issue. RIP

Update: it looks like Funimation is changing their encoding settings for subbed versions as well, starting today.
