What is the Ocean Dub

The Ocean dub (also known as the Saban dub) was a collaboration between Funimation and Saban Entertainment to bring Dragon Ball Z to the western world. Ocean dubbed the first two seasons, a total of 67 episodes, but heavily edited them for TV syndication, resulting in a reduced episode count of 53.

If this is the same release as the single episode released a couple weeks back, then yes it has the visual edits and title cards.

While I admire the work that must have gone into the sync... may I ask what did you do to the footage? Not only is it compressed to hell, but it's had a bunch of filtering done to it that makes it look worse than the Orange Bricks. This could be really useful to people if the image wasn't completely bit-starved and destroyed.

Appreciate the effort but I really wished you had used the Level Sets + 30th Anniversary instead of the Dragon Box :/

@Eckhart what good is using the Levels if this guy insists on such terrible filtering and encoding settings? It legitimately looks worse than the original RTD set lol

@Eckhart 30th Edition is literally the worst Blu-Ray remaster ever released I would avoid using it at all costs

Thank you. The Saban dub has at last received two proper releases ("uncut" and edited with the best current PQ). Westwood dub is on its way (thanks to SoM).

After reading iKaos comment I can say there is a possibility these episodes are taken from some MEGA links which were floating around the internet for ages .

I didn't download this torrent nor do I want or care . I just came here to throw my cents out .
