The anime was originally released in 360p (technically 640x480 with black bars on the top/bottom), and the Blu Ray isn't any better quality. But Moozzi2's encode sharpens the video and makes it look much, much better. Like seriously, look at the before and after pictures on their encode, it's a night-and-day difference.
EDIT: I know a lot of people don't like Moozzi2 encodes in general because they apply a lot of different filters and such, but in this case the original source is 360p, so it really benefits from it. Don't knock it until you look at the before and after screenshots.

I adjusted the subtitle timing to fit the video source. I also lightly edited the subtitles for the OVA to fix some typos and formatting issues (these are the official subs by the way).

i would actually have to read the documentation to produce something that can compete with these :D i have no idea how to increase framerate or do more filtering than downscaling or deinterlacing

Dont let the encoding elitist with poor eye sight convince you that moozzi2 is bad. He is the sole reason most older shows can be considered barely watchable.

I thought it was fine until the 3rd comparison, where it starts to look weird. I'd rather have the entire thing be blurry than have certain parts look obviously sharpened
Some spots that catch my attention (basically the line art gets either too sharp or too blurry looking)
Went back to the first comparison and noticed the hair
I mean Moozzi2 should just work in animation since he likes redraw, reshape, and recolor every frame his horrible filters touch. This is bad.

it is. someone had once showed how in one instance there were characters talking of stars and Moozzi2 encode had wiped them out. hilarious.

I honestly believe that a little bit of sharpening can work, but Moozzi2 just oversharpens the fuck out of everything.

You know it is sad that everyone craps all over Moozi2's encodes and yet their raws quite often are the only with any seeds after a few months... its kinda baffling really.
@Interruptor his more modern shows seem to barely change anything. (probably because modern anime is already sharp enough)
One thing I appreciate Moozzi2 doing is including a ton / all of the extras
If I want to see if there are any specials, extras, NC OP/EDs, etc., will always check their filelist first
