Description

Well, then. Here we go. Episode 425, the second and last 2.5h special of the series, and one of the biggest events of the series. This is a project we’ve had underway for a long, long time. It was started initially as an attempt to sub the shortened so-called “remaster” by Baaro, which later evolved into a Moonlighters sub of the full version once we started seeing more and more issues with DCTP’s release. In the end, the entire thing was retranslated from scratch, we typeset more stuff than we ever have before, jmaeshawn from Kienai was brought into it to TLC and he ended up doing even more typesetting, we went through multiple encodes as this thing is a goddamn pain to deinterlace properly (thanks to Quazza for helping with that, by the way), and finally ended up with this. By far the biggest thing we’ve ever taken on, comparable only to the joint release of 345 we did with DCTP long ago. We all hope you enjoy it.

Huge, huge thanks to jmaeshawn for all of his help with this. This release wouldn’t be anywhere near as good as it is without him.

There is absolutely no quality or colour difference between the “remaster” and the original—that only applies for episodes 1-283.

Great! Still you guys could’ve spliced in remastered sd downscaled cuts for the prelude scenes at the beginning of this, just saying.

Can you guys please do rip of plan to eradicate super saiyans original version with different segments in playdia dvd?
BTW since you released 7th DBZ movie, do you have open matte 4:3 fullscreen remastered sources for the rest of DBZ movies?

Is the "HD" remaster of this just an upscale? Does real HD starts from when they started widescreen from ep 453?

We actually did splice in the remaster of 176-178 during the recap at the start. As well as for the flashback to 259 later on.

Can you please make new (576p/720p) rips of DBZ from Dragon Ball Z 30th Anniversary Collector's Edition remastered bluray? Colors look awesome

They seem to be the same over-filtered masters that the old Season Blu-rays use, but in 4:3 instead of 16:9, perhaps with some minor differences in filtering. Nevertheless, the line art and backgrounds are badly smeared. The new Season Blu-rays are the same discs as the 30th Anniversary set, I think, despite what an initial report said. Nevertheless, they use the same masters as the 30th Anniversary BDs.

As for the censored Pokemon Orange League scene, the Dutch DVD and the earlier Australian DVDs, and probably other European DVDs, have it uncensored. The Australian DVD looks better than the Dutch DVD, but we don't currently have an ISO of an early Australian DVD, as far as I know. The Taiwanese VCD with that episode, which tend to use very early masters, possibly Japanese broadcast masters, have the same censorship as KIDS Station. We don't have a TV recording of the original Japanese broadcast, but my guess is that it likely is also censored. 4Kids somehow got an uncensored master, and the scene made it into a lot of international 4Kids-based dubs. The US home video releases cut that scene out though.

BTW can you guys reconstruct both old(when it's the only available) and remastered footage from several DB + DBZ movies and splice it over where possible in DBZ movie 07 1992 special?

So do you guys have Dutch DVD which contains original unedited footage for Shitennou Kan'na ep? If so, can you please make a raw with unedited footage spliced in? It'd be nice to watch, unedited episode. BTW there are amazon WEB-DL of pocket monsters tos(by Abyss)(and yes, I've checked amzn rip for Kan'na's cleavage scene too, thinking they'd be unedited, but it sadly uses edited footage) , how does they compare with your encodes?
