Full disclosure: These are speed subs (no MTL, though) with minimal typesetting. Anyone wanting a more polished release should wait for MoyaiSubs.

Also, for those curious, "Rodan" is actually spelled "Radon" in Japanese, and this incarnation of Godzilla draws a direct link between the gas and the monster name.

@Guncannon thanks for the good work. Your subs for the first episode were really good so I don't know what people are going on about.
If you're inclined to continue I'd love to keep up with your releases.

To clarify since people here love to start drama, I got no beef against Moyai or anything, just didn't feel the need to check out their subs for the first episode.

For one, they definitely have better typesetting. I can't even attempt to do karaoke or signs because it'll just look like shit. And two, I think more time and more eyes means it's less likely that something weird slips through, like my translation of kaiju as "suspicious animal". In this episode there's quite a few artistic liberties the translator can take:

--> Should I have used Rodan instead of Radon, defying all logic just to conform to existing terminology?
--> How should I have translated the famous kabuki quotes the old guy spouts off while piloting Jet Jaguar?
--> How should I have translated the Buddhist mumbo jumbo? Nobody's going to understand it.

At any rate, my original intention was to get the ball rolling, not TL the entire series. I'd just made decent progress on episode 2 before I saw Moyai picked up Singular Point. We'll see where it goes from here.

There's also random stuff I flat out miss, like I read 組織の中から and thought the carcasses were leaking radon gas (radon tests for your home are a thing) but it was actually within the tissue itself. So yeah, I'm not perfect.

Kaiju are mad suspicious animals typically though.

Thank you for not painting the fonts red (and not including any in the first place). Moyai are more polished, sure, but their color choice is a huge strain on my eyes.

Cheers, great job and always a big fan of soft srt as I can set sub fonts as I like. After Moyai for ep1 I did not notice any real difference as I was enjoying the show :)

Story is a must see on mega classic...think uns-kinning & un-Pycnofiber-ing the nose of the Pterosaur artistic enough & changing likely nose area for sound detection to radiation detection a cool, workable idea.... as the lady says even the imagined has to be logical :) Talking Kaiju Lol... why not. I digress.

OH Yeah! as for the naysayer of subs - there will always be haters (paid or not) ''you can't do that' - love the way people respond (I usually say treat ignorance by ignoring) - obviously the reason they throw hate around & run... cannot make themselves too obvious. I'm no admin but if they only repeat trying to burn, I'd say flag/remove (tho with a name you know what to expect I guess). Apologies for the ramble :)

I don't think it makes sense for me to keep going now that Moyai's picked up S.P. and releasing weekly. Plus, it gives me insomnia. I barely slept from Fri-Thurs when I TLed episodes 1 and 2.
