Description
If you are a noise/grain lover or don't mind it, you'll have other releases.
But, if you are like me, and noise hurt you as much as rubbing sand in your eyes, this release may interest you.
Well, the usual speech, but this time less sand than the previous japanese Blu-Ray, if you check original picture from this release versus my previous relese here : https://nyaa.si/view/895617
All process were done directly from the new 4k remaster japanese Blu-Ray.
Video is denoised.
Subtitles are from the THORA release.
Japanese audio only.

grain/noise is a must for Akira.

In that case, get the Thora (or another) release. I just offer another choice.
At least, you can choose a release, with grain/noise kept or removed, according your taste.
@jpsdr, not saying your work is bad, I'm just saying noise/grain is a must for Akira (for me personally that is) i like to download all different versions of Akira just to see how they look, but i personally like noise/grain. I will check this out either way. ?

The color correction and denoise is fine but the immense amount of screen cut is a no go for me :)

IDK if this is an issue with the 4k source or not, but there is a significant amount of cropping present especially noticeable on the right and bottom side:

I only denoise, I don't change color or cut anything. It's like this on the Blu-Ray.
I've change color only once, on Macross DYRL, but it's notified on the release.

Still alive, working on something but verrrryyyyyyy sloooooooowly, as i fucus my spare time on others stuff. Not doing HDR stuff, not the knowledge (for now) of x265, and i don't know in the case of original Blu-Ray stream having HDR10+ or DolbyVision (c) meta-data if they can be kept or are lost when re-encoding. If they are lost, it will be... (don't know how to translate...) "a shame".
