Hello there!
Thanks for downloading my recently made MKV files of the
entire Sailor Moon: The DiC English Edited Collection!
These were ripped straight from the ADV Films releases, which are now long out of print.
Since then, many of us; including myself, have been archiving these episodes in the best quality format possible.
Frankly, this is the best way to watch Sailor Moon in it's original edited format, no filters or anything, raw DVD rips, interlaced, etc.
I frankly was the first to post the episodes in HQ MKV, but only the First Season. I unfortunetly didn't own the Second Season. That was, until Rare
Gems from archive.org, posted all the volumes as untouched ISOs. This got me to work on completeing the
ultimate way to watch this Edited Dub in all it's entirety.
MakeMKV was used to rip these DVDs, with the 480i (interlaced) retained. Audio remains the exact
same as from the DVDs; AC3 kbps, stereo. The codec used was MPEG2, no quality loss.
Volumes 1-7 were ripped from my personal copies, with Volumes 8-14 still
ripped in MKV by me. Rare Gems had the Volumes 8-14 ISO files, so special
thanks to him who helped contributed to this project.

Is this english only or dual audio?
English only. This is the original English dub from DiC, which heavily edited the episodes, meaning that any Japanese audio track would not match the video.

what's the difference between this and the 20gb one that was supposedly ripped from the same dvds? a dip in dvd visual quality?
What are you talking about? Also, Volumes 8-14 were Rare Gems ISO rips. I unfortunately don't know about all the DVDs. I own a few of the official volumes, but ended up buying the bootleg Series 1 set about 2 years ago. From what I've known, the DVD I had compared to the bootleg version, such as volume 1 is the exact same file size.
Check this out? How are these compared to your rips? and also perhaps this would be a good source for you to get S, SuperS, and the movies? I don't know for sure, but it looks promising. Hope it helps.

First off, these DVDs are not 20GB each. They're actually about 7 GB or less each. Those rips he has uploaded are poor, with these rips being superior. Those files that his blog has are more compressed. These files on this torrent are ripped straight from MakeMKV, not filtered or compressed. I hate to tell you this, but people wanted the most accurate encodes, exactly like the DVDs. Since the DVDs were encoded as MPEG2 Interlaced, they are converted with that encode to MKV. So the quality has been retained. Hope you now better understand. Also, try downloading an episode or two, then compare it too his blog uploades. Thanks again.
Okay, that makes sense, I know that a straight rip will be better than an encode.
But did this at least help you with finding a better source for S, SuperS, and the movies? I saw in another post that you had uploaded TV rips.
Those Toonami airings were from SailorMoonCWiEdits. I unfortunately couldn't download them in the best quality and those were the only source for english english edited versions in all its entirety. In the future, I plan on uploading a VHS rip of Pure Hearts. Most of Sailor Moon S had its English Edited versions released on VHS. Super S unfortunately never got the complete English Edited release. Also, RareGems is literally the best source for the Highest Quality ISO rips, containing the DVD Files. I am in the works on having a VCR with S-Video out shipped here. It unfortunately has no TBC, but it may work out well.
