Koe No Katachi - Enthusiast's Collected Edition
The best picture quality, excellent list of audio / subtitle tracks + full OST

It's Dynit. It's good. Ok, thats that then.
Ok, for real though, the Italian powerhouse of quality anime releases doesn't disappoint here either with their release of Koe no katachi. It has a much healthier bitrate, reduced banding and mitigated visible artifacting compared to the JP BD and of course the other encoded uploads.
One of the included audio tracks is a DTS Headphone:X type, which you can get a quick explanation about here, where I try to explain the gist of it. Another one that's noteworthy is the "Inner silence" track, which has no dialogue or any FX sounds. I guess It's supposed to emulate what it's like for deaf people to watch the movie, yet It has ambient/droning music all the way through, making it an interesting one for sure.
For the subtitles in this release we've got a real treat in the way of nedragrevev's edited Kametsu subs. This is a person who always puts in a lot of effort into their work, so it's great that they decided to do further retiming and other slight editing work on Kametsu's already great subtitles.
Also included is the full OST in FLAC, as well as the music used in the "Inner silence" track.
I couldn't find any, so unfortunately no subs for Naoko Yamada + staff's director's commentary. If you happen to have subs for it, and are willing to share, please do!
Update 2.13.: Special thanks to WPR for providing subtitles for the director's commentary! Here's a MEGA link for the zip file (Mirror), which includes the original PGS .sup file and an OCR'd version of it in srt format. (I matched the srt subs to the audio, but the PGS subs need to shifted by about -6000ms in your player to match)
Other additional DDLs
- Italian 5.1 dub in FLAC + all PGS subtitles from the ITBD
- English 5.1 dub in FLAC from the UKBD (Mirror) Big thanks to user Weebly9 for sharing!
Specifics of this release:
All tracks were retimed to match the ITBD when needed.
Video:
- IT BD Remux (1920x1080, 23.976fps)
Audio:
- Japanese 5.1 FLAC (ITBD) (default)
Japanese 2.0 Headphone:X FLAC (JPBD)Update 2.26.: I was made aware that converting DTSX tracks to FLAC loses the added surround data altogether, so get the raw track here (Mirror) instead- Japanese 2.0 FLAC (JPBD)
- Silent (No Dialogue) 5.1 FLAC (JPBD)
- Director's Commentary 2.0 FLAC (JPBD)
Subtitles:
- English Signs And Songs - nedragrevev (.ass)
- English (Honorifics) - nedragrevev (.ass)
- English (No Honorifics & Western Naming Order) - nedragrevev (.ass)

The IT BD is the nicest and I found it to be a noticeable improvement over the UK BD (UK BD is pretty much identical to JP BD in terms of PQ), but there’s only so much that can be done with the source. I don’t think we are going to get a better looking release until KyoAni re-exports the film without banding.
The commentary is subtitled on the RightStuf exclusive Limited Edition I think. I would have been interested in it if it wasn’t so overpriced.
Yeah 80$+ for essentially just some subtitles doesn't sound like a good deal.
Well thanks for all these releases of yours and thanks also to those helping you
@RoxReaper No problem, appreciated!
can you DDL the "Japanese 5.1 FLAC (ITBD) , Japanese 2.0 Headphone:X, Silent (No Dialogue)" audio track separately for me?
@Jaytron Here you go: https://mega.nz/folder/dioniSYK#jWC7j-oSwDoGFOGLaVI0LQ
thank you so much
@Jaytron, If you happen to read this I recommend you instead download the raw DTS-HD MA version of the Headpone:X track from the DDL in the description.
okay, thanks!
It may be a silly question, but what's the point of including a Signs/Songs track if there's no alternative audio tracks?
Thanks for sharing though. I never realised how much better the IT BD was than the other versions. Makes my physical JP BD kind of redundant.
@Weebly9, I guess the signs & songs track in this case is for people who understand spoken Japanese, but can't read Kanji/Hiragana/Katakana. Nedragrevev had worked on it, so I included it for completeness' sake.
Yeah if you want the best version of something and there's a Dynit BD of it, it's usually the one to get. Some of their releases are clones of the JPBDs (e.g. Gurren Lagann), but for the most part it's a safe bet.
Very much aware of that. I've even imported a few myself where the overseas releases were severely lacking. I find it even funnier that their release of the Cowboy Bebop Movie is the definitive English release (due to including dub/sub) despite not releasing in an English speaking territory. Meanwhile the AU/UK BD has messed up dub audio, and the US BD is typical Funimation.
@hydes I don't know if it's of any interest to you, but I ripped and re-encoded the English audio track from the UK BD to FLAC (24bit).
The timing is exactly the same as the Dynit BD.

@Weebly9 Hey thanks, I'll add that to the description.
Can the Japanese sub be found anywhere perhaps as a separate download?
@ShabuShabu If you mean a Japanase language subtitle file, I don't have one unfortunately. You can check Subscene or if some JP BD remux has the original sub files here on nyaa or on another tracker.
