Agreed, this ep was so good it has standalone value. Reminds me a bit of Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken, where the 1st ep was amazing, but the show quickly went downhill afterwards (at least for me).

Normally I just watch my media from Plex. I did watch through using Plex, but I'm not sure if I'm missing out on the second set of subs because of it. If it isn't too much trouble, what would I be watching for on Plex to see if the honorific sub track is playing correctly?

Teniko chances are that if you are asking that question it literally doesn't matter which track you choose. And even if you were aware of the differences, they'd be so abysmal you might as well count them as irrelevant overall.

I thought it would have just been that, if not some additional “fun” subs from motbob (Thinking of the earlier mentioned “Subbing this unironically” that was referenced in the comments). It appears that Plex doesn’t play that track correctly, because I didn’t have any honorifics during the episode. I’ll have to grab mpv and give it a watch to see

@Teniko Plex on PC uses mpv for playback underneath. You can just choose the other subtitle track. Not that there's any point to it
