Description

K×Drop!!

Creator's original YouTube video

Endou, a night guard, was patrolling the mall as usual. But this night was going to be different from usual...

K×Drop!! is a small project of a indie animator. It didn't have any subtitles so we gave it some and made a filtered encode as well.

  • Encode: Pizza
  • Translation: Sei
  • Timing: dgk

The source had some heavy banding issues and artifacts in some scenes. There were two different video streams for this, an AVC/H264 and a VP9 stream. Both had different problems. Our encoder took the best scenes out of each and spliced them together. Additionally, a denoise, deband and anti-aliasing was applied.

Comparison between AVC, VP9 and our encode
The aforementioned problems can best be seen in comparison #3.

MediaInfo and VapourSynth script for anyone interested.
