No mater how old a series is or already massively shared, HorribleRips aims to be that one release group people download from like HorribleSubs was "except we don't do single episode releases", and for example I hate having my torrents be mixed with different release/sub groups.

You're aiming to be HorribleSubs, but you encode your releases when HorribleSubs did not. Why don't you include the media info on your releases?

aiming to be HorribleSubs lol. use better sources, those quick encodes won't suffer much. hate mix-releases lol rename them and for torrenting purposes use a torrent client that allows seeding renamed files.

aiming to be them would mean doing daily releases, which we will not be doing, we only release batch "complete" stuff, plus horriblesubs did not give a shit for ovas/movies/older anime. I encode them for smaller file sizes while retaining next to original video quality, horriblesubs did initially encode them but I think they went lazy and just released them raw after sometime. I remove tags because they are irrelevant and have no reason to be on there.

you aim to be them in the sense of a one-stop download since you mentioned them. i understood your intentions mate from your first comment. you removed more than tags though.

Yeah no, HS never encoded. The old ones are also CR rips, but back then Crunchyroll had not standardised their encodes so different shows were different sizes
