Description

Okay, i'm back with second episode and i'm starting to get an idea why people don't really bother with transcribing hardsubbed anime. the original translation had a fair amount of timing issues in this episode that I tried my best to fix, but i'm only one person so don't expect perfection. I can only dread if this will be a concurrent theme while I'm doing this. also i wish i had someone that knew proper japanese to TLC because while i can spot some obvious odd translation choices I can't do much besides worry about the rest of the AC translation. It's better than nothing I suppose.

I'm still using Tèconpastas encode and will continue using that one unless i'm show a better one.

Thanks a ton for doing this and i hope you keep going all the way to the end. Could you please run a quick spellcheck in AegisSub before finalizing and uploading? There are some issues with misspellings and capitalization.

@Anon2954367 fuck i knew I'd miss some things. in hindsight doing this at late night hours made me forget that the spellchecker was even a thing. I'll keep that in mind going forward. i'll fix the mistakes in this one when i make a batch of eps.

@uly I thought about doing that but considering the timing is just a issue i'll have to deal with anyways.

I've been meaning to watch Nadja, so thank you for scrubbing. Do you plan on maintaining this pace? I wouldn't blame you if not, timing is a huge pain in the ass.

i'll try to do at least 5 eps per week, timing is a bitch but its just time consuming. i'm still trying to pester someone into looking over at the translations but outside of that there shouldn't be really an issue doing this. pretty much all the hard work was already done by the older groups.

Hey mate, you should try converting hardsubs with OCR if you haven't. It would save a lot of time transcribing the subs if you can do this. I think SubtitleEdit has this functionality. Probably other programs can, but it's not something I'm familiar with. Also, the Intervención release is a 10-bit version of the encode you're using by the same uploader, so it should be better as a raw source. I don't have the time/motivation to TLC the whole show, but if you want to check any particular lines you can join the GJM Discord, ask for the fansubber role and post in the #translation channel and I or someone else might reply: https://discord.gg/hQewDqS

@jymmy
the main reason I used the Tèconpastas encode was mainly because there was no screenshot comparison I could make on ab because no one bothered to upload images of it there. so I went with what I could see. also I'm glad you told me about this program. it will certaintly cut some hours that I waste doing this into something more manageable. I'll go check out the server for sure in a bit.
